RFS creates the event inside the event at the Mobile World Congress

With the RFS StayConnected Days, RFS creates the event inside the event at the 2010 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

Colombes (France), January 21, 2010 – During the 2010 Mobile World Congress (Feb.15-18 in Barcelona, Spain), Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), the global wireless and broadcast infrastructure specialist, will feature the RFS StayConnected Days @ 2010 Mobile World Congress, effectively creating the event inside the event. On this occasion, the company will disclose its latest products and solutions to face the challenges of LTE introduction, outdoor cellular sites and indoor coverage.

In the second half of 2009, Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) rolled out a series of very successful roadshows, called the RFS StayConnected Days, in Thailand, Brazil, China, the United States, France, South Africa, India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). During these roadshows, more than 500 decision-makers in technical, purchasing, sales and management functions at customers including operators, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and installation companies, met with RFS experts for one-on-one discussions. The RFS StayConnected Days @ 2010 Mobile World Congress build on the success of these roadshows to create the event inside the event.

Our worldwide RFS StayConnected Days roadshows quickly gained momentum in 2009 and we continue to be impressed by our customers’ positive responses. I’m looking forward to meeting again with our existing customers and with many new customers at the RFS StayConnected Days @ 2010 Mobile World Congress.Patrick Houze de l’Aulnoit, VP Global Sales & Marketing, RFS

Learn about key innovations for LTE, outdoor and indoor coverage

During the RFS StayConnected Days @ 2010 Mobile World Congress, RFS will present its latest solutions and innovations to help operators, OEMs and installation companies face the challenges of LTE introduction, outdoor cellular sites and indoor coverage.

We shall present RFS’ responses to major customers trends, such as the spectacular growth of low ARPU subscribers in emerging markets (with the call for high-volume standardized equipment and the need for 3G coverage overlay), and the explosion of mobile broadband at low ARPU in mature markets (managing the new frequencies and re-banding spectrum complexity, and developing new technologies like LTE, MIMO, Active Array Antennas, as well as Remote Radio Heads for easier and more cost effective in-building coverage with RFS’ advanced UMTS over Ethernet ClearFill Star® solution.)”, says Eric Mariette, VP Global Marketing at RFS.

RFS will present its latest products and solutions, including:

  • - RFS’ advanced UMTS over Ethernet ClearFill Star® solution for easier and more cost-effective in-building coverage,

  • - Immediately available for LTE testing worldwide, RFS future-proof Variable Tilt Ultra-Broadband Antennas optimized for 2 & 4 Way RX Diversity, MIMO and beam-forming, ideal for 2G, 3G, LTE, PCS, AWS, GSM1800 and Mobile TV networks. Also ideal for re-banding or re-farming considerations in the 1710-2700MHz range, this platform will help operators migrate their capacity smoothly whatever the frequency band in a multi-technology RAN context;

  • - The new RFS DC-connectors, allowing a substantial reduction in installation time and costs when upgrading existing sites to Remote Radio Head technology. With RFS’ solution, rollout planning is eased and site preparation time is cut by one-third.

  •  - The new RFS LTE-ready ShareLite Diplexers and Triplexers combining high-performance and compact design to deliver unparalleled cell site optimization.

  • - The new RFS OMNI FIT™ Premium line of RF-connectors featuring design breakthroughs for best-in-class performance and value.
