RFS Enables Cost-effective Indoor Coverage for 3G Networks in India

June 24, 2010 — (New Delhi, India) — Ubiquitous, high quality indoor coverage and capacity for new 3G networks in India can now be delivered more easily and cost-effectively with advanced indoor solutions from Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), the global wireless and broadcast infrastructure specialist. The RFS ClearFill® suite of in-building wireless communications solutions includes ClearFill Line, ClearFill Space and ClearFill Air. It allows operators to increase macro network capacity by up to 25 percent to delay spectrum exhaust. In addition, because ClearFill Star uses Cat 5e standard LAN cabling and Gigabit Ethernet switches rather than expensive RF feeder cabling, it reduces total cost of ownership by up to 30 to 40 percent compared to other in-building solutions.

ClearFill Star is also the only in-building solution that truly separates capacity from coverage. It allows operators to increase capacity when needed without deploying another coverage system. Similarly, coverage can be added without jeopardizing coverage in other areas of the building. In addition, it complements other in-building coverage solutions, such as pico cells and femto cells, by increasing their coverage radius.
